We’re currently seeking experienced Safety & Training Coordinators to join our casual relief pool with the potential for permanent ongoing work — supporting our clients across various sites on a flexible, as-needed basis. This role offers excellent work-life balance and is ideally suited to semi-retired professionals or experienced coordinators looking for flexible FIFO opportunities. About the Role As a Safety & Training Coordinator , you’ll play a vital role in promoting a strong safety culture and enhancing workforce capability. You’ll deliver training and assessments, conduct site safety activities, and provide hands-on support to teams to ensure safe and compliant operations. Key Responsibilities Deliver and assess competency-based training and Verifications of Competency (VOC) for underground mining roles. Facilitate site inductions for employees and contractors. Lead or support incident investigations, including corrective and preventive actions. Mentor site personnel in applying the Safety Management System (SMS). Conduct site inspections, audits, and safe work observations. Support the development and delivery of health, safety, and training communications. Manage health and safety reporting and administrative requirements. About You A safety leader who thrives in dynamic site environments. You bring practical experience and a passion for developing others, coupled with a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety and training (underground mining highly regarded). Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE). ICAM Lead Investigator accreditation (highly regarded) Strong understanding of underground mining operations and risk management. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Manual C Class driver’s licence. National Police Check or ability to obtain
