General Manager

We’re looking for a dynamic General Manager to help turn our ambitious vision into reality. Beaker Street is a not-for-profit cultural organisation in Lutruwita/Tasmania that works to build community through scientific understanding, via our annual flagship Beaker Street Festival and a range of engaging programs at the intersection of science and art. As we approach our 10th year, we are thrilled to bring on a new key leadership role to help steer our next chapter. You’ll work closely with the CEO / Creative Director to drive strategy, refine our operations, and help us grow in sustainable, exciting directions — establishing the operational stability we need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring our systems and processes work hand-in-hand with the creative direction of the organisation. This role is based in Nipaluna/Hobart, home to world-leading artists, researchers, thinkers and makers. The position is offered at 0.8 FTE on a 1-year contract. You’ll receive 0.8 FTE of $100,000 per annum, equivalent to $80,000 per year, plus superannuation.
