About The Team Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets. The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community. About The Opportunity To safely & efficiently plan, coordinate and deliver track possessions in accordance with annual corridor work programs, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Please note - this role will involve weekend work. Responsibilities Of The Role Include, But Not Limited To Be responsible for planning & delivering track possessions in accordance with the annual plan. Devise and implement safe working plans in consultation with key stakeholders. Effectively coordinate worksites operating inside possession limits. Facilitate possession meetings to ensure information transparency. Negotiate and coordinate track access with key stakeholders particularly at possession interfaces. Be responsible for efficient and effective scheduling of resources and assets to ensure effective delivery of planned works. Devise and implement contingency plans including short notice possessions as required. Ensure possessions are managed to facilitate all required work in line with the annual works plan & possessions management procedure. What do we want from you? Essential Demonstratable advanced analytical ability & problem-solving skills. Advanced verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal and negotiating skills Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment. A detailed understanding of train planning and possessions planning in the rail environment, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills A detailed understanding of the ARTC asset including possession access locations and interface points. Unwavering attention to detail High level of computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite Highly developed negotiation, influencing, analytical, problem resolution, interpersonal and communication skills Desirable Experience with Possession Access Coordination Tool (PACT) Demonstratable ability to influence others to provide information to meet set timeframes. Experience with Miro. Experience with Ellipse. Knowledge of applicable network safeworking rules & procedures What will you get from us?
