Radio Frequency Engineer

Contract RF / Hardware Engineer (Long Wave Radio | Sub-GHz Radar) Scotland, central belt / Remote (1–2 days per week) Part-time / Contract – Flexible engagement We’re seeking an experienced RF / Hardware Engineer to support an ongoing long-wave radio and sub-GHz radar project. This is a hands-on, technical contract role , ideal for someone with strong mixed-signal and RF design skills who enjoys solving complex hardware challenges. What you’ll be working on Contributing to the design, development, and optimisation of long-wave radar systems Working across RF front-end design , signal integrity , and mixed-signal hardware Supporting PCB-level design , testing, and integration of sub-GHz components Collaborating with a small, focused engineering team on innovative low-frequency RF solutions What we’re looking for Proven background in RF / analog circuit design (ideally sub-GHz or long-wave systems) Experience with mixed-signal electronics , filtering , and impedance matching Some hardware engineering experience (schematic capture, board bring-up, debugging) Familiarity with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes) Comfortable working independently 1–2 days per week — on-site or remotely Why join?
