Playworker (Temporary)

Dalmuir Park Housing Association is seeking an enthusiastic Playworker to join our team at Dalmuir Out of School Care Group (DOSCG) for a 6-month contract. Based at Dalmuir CE Centre, Duntocher Rd, Clydebank G81 4RQ, we are looking for candidate who has experience of working in a similar role; of being responsible for young children in a childcare or other setting, to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children, implementing planned activities, delivering a variety of stimulating play activities which will aid the social, intellectual, emotional and physical development of children. You should have knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards my support my life principles, SSSC Codes of Practice (SSSC) and an awareness of Getting it Right for Every Child model of care (GIFFEC). You should be able to demonstrate good listening and communication skills, with basic computer skills. Also essential for the role is working well within in a team and on own initiative, along with dealing with sensitive information discreetly and confidentially. We are fully committed to training and development and, we will cover the cost of PVG and SSSC fees for the successful candidate.
