We're excited to offer an opportunity for a Principal Associate to join our Legal 500 Tier 1-ranked Defendant Professional Indemnity team. The role We're delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Principal Associate (typically with 8 years PQE) to join our Legal 500 Tier 1-ranked Defendant Professional Indemnity team on a permanent basis. Whilst the role will predominantly support our Leeds team, we welcome applications from candidates located in Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham, with the flexibility to work from any of these offices in line with our hybrid working policy. You'll be working closely with Partners Neil Howes, Liam Burnett, and other senior colleagues across our firm-wide Insurance Disputes Partner group. This team forms part of our national Insurance Disputes practice, led by Niall Innes, and is further supported by a dedicated Professional Support Lawyer. The role is predominantly professional indemnity focused. You will be acting for members of various professions but primarily lawyers (both solicitors and barristers), construction professionals, accountants and insurance brokers. Clients are located nationally, with work referred at their nomination or directly by insurers, most of which are located close to our London office but with developed regionally based teams. The firm's client base includes an enviable list of major insurers, MGAs and Lloyds syndicates. The person You'll have a strong background in professional indemnity and/or commercial litigation, paired with a genuine passion for the law and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Your experience will likely have been gained in private practice, ideally within a leading regional or City law firm, or alternatively, in-house with a major insurer or MGA. While prior exposure to the professional indemnity insurance market is advantageous, it's not essential. Please ensure you read the full job description below.
