The successful applicant will: Liaise with school pedagogical leaders and classroom teachers to identify students who will participate in the intervention support. Contribute to a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning in line with MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Engagement. Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, parents and school leaders. Implement research-based intervention programs to support students in Mathematics or Literacy, including MacqLit and MiniLit Sage. Have an understanding of evidence-based assessment practice including DiBELS assessments. Use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment data to identify student needs and plan targeted instruction. Be flexible and adaptive in their teaching methods to support students in one to one settings and small groups. Monitor student progress, keeping accurate and timely progress notes that will help to inform appropriate teaching methods, and support NCCD monitoring for students who require supplementary, substantial or extensive adjustments. Be an active member of the School Learning Diversity Team, and be familiar with Tier 2 assessments including SPAT, YARC and articulation screeners. Support school pedagogical leaders and classroom teachers to prepare consultation requests for MACS if required. Attend / contribute to Program Support Group (PSG) meetings to communicate progress with families should this be required. Complete any duties as directed by school leaders.
