You’ll be responsible for ensuring all infrastructure operations, maintenance, and asset lifecycle programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory, contractual, and quality standards. This is a key leadership role that involves driving service improvement, managing budgets, and leading a motivated team to deliver exceptional results. You’ll work closely with the South Metropolitan Health Service, hospital clinicians, and internal stakeholders to ensure the hospital’s critical infrastructure continues to support high-quality patient care. As a Senior Operations Manager – Infrastructure, you’ll make a positive impact by: Managing the operations of the Facilities Management Infrastructure team to meet contractual and strategic KPIsLeading the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Hard FM servicesOverseeing asset lifecycle replacement programs and maintenance planningManaging budgets, forecasting, and financial performance against business objectivesSupporting the rollout of new systems, technologies, and process improvementsDriving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across teams and subcontractorsBuilding strong relationships with hospital leadership, contractors, and Serco’s management teamsReporting operational performance and providing insights to senior stakeholders Serco is a place for you You are a values-driven leader who leads by example, fosters psychological safety, inspires teams, and champions excellence, safety, and ethical conduct. To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Have Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in operations, facilities, or business managementTrade qualification or Certificate IV in a relevant mechanical, electrical, or building disciplineDemonstrated experience leading operations or maintenance management teams in a complex environmentStrong background in asset lifecycle planning and contract managementProven ability to manage budgets and deliver results within financial parametersHigh-level communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated experience in safety, compliance, and quality management systemsAbility to motivate and lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive operational excellence In joining us, you’ll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders who will help you achieve your goals.
