About the Role As an Assistant Ecologist , you’ll support the delivery of a wide range of ecological projects, working alongside experienced ecologists and landscape architects to gain practical experience in surveys, reporting, and ecological assessment. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with habitat and protected species surveys Supporting the preparation of ecological reports and mapping Helping to develop and implement mitigation and enhancement measures Managing and analysing ecological data Contributing to collaborative, multidisciplinary project delivery This is an excellent opportunity to develop your ecological career within a creative and supportive consultancy where design and ecology work hand in hand. You’ll bring: Some experience in ecological surveys and reporting (e.g. PEAs, UKHab, or protected species surveys) Understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy Interest in or progress toward gaining protected species licences Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and good organisational ability A full UK driving licence The right to work in the UK
