Job Description

Alexander Steele are working with an established food manufacturing business in East Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Commercial Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate has worked in a versatile sales role covering a wide range of tasks across the business and cross collaborating across different departments. The position offers a clear progression pathway to becoming an SLT member and includes managing 3x direct reports. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers to ensure high service levels and maximise commercial returns Lead daily trading activities, negotiating prices, volumes and contracts to optimise profitability Identify and develop new sales opportunities across regional, national and cutting markets Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer data to inform pricing and growth strategies Collaborate with production, planning and logistics teams to align sales with operational capacity and minimise waste Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and forecasts to support strategic decision-making Oversee credit control within the sales function, liaising with finance to ensure accurate invoicing and on-time payments Maintain effective stock management and coordinate with planning to resolve potential shortages or production constraints On Offer Circa £45,000 per annum (with flexibility for the right candidate) Monday to Friday – office hours 33 days annual leave If this role sounds of interest or you require further information, please apply with your most up-to-date CV, and I will be in touch.
