ER RN Job Details Location: Bartonsville, Pennsylvania (18321) – Pocono Mountains region Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room, Community Hospital Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date: January 12, 2026 End Date: April 13, 2026 Nursing Shift: Night, 4x12-hour shifts/week (21:00 - 09:30) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday On Call: None Patient Ratio: 1:6 Charting System: Epic EMR Scrubs: Navy Blue Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,970 - $2,110 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Proficiency with Epic charting system Charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) First-time travel nurses are welcome ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Manage a 1:6 patient ratio in a fast-paced ER setting Perform advanced clinical procedures: arterial line management, chest tube insertion, intubation, central line care Administer emergency medications and blood products Conduct triage, assessment, and stabilization for a wide range of diagnoses (abdominal pain, trauma, respiratory infections, seizures, drug overdose, acute psychosis, etc.) Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias Monitor ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, CPAP/BiPAP Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and behavioral health conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including radiology and interpretation services Maintain strict isolation precautions and infection control standards Apply now to join our healthcare team in Bartonsville, PA and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
