Lead .NET Developer £90,000 Bonus Chester (Hybrid) ShortList Recruitment are working with a market-leading software company to recruit a Lead .NET Developer to help drive an exciting transformation programme. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a small but growing development team in modernising legacy desktop systems into scalable, cloud-based web applications. You’ll take ownership of architecture, best practices and delivery standards, ensuring every release is clean, secure and future-ready. If you’re a seasoned .NET professional with strong cloud and DevOps experience who enjoys leading by example, this is an opportunity to shape both the product and the engineering culture. Key Responsibilities: Architect and deliver full-stack solutions using modern .NET and JavaScript frameworks Lead the migration of legacy (WinForms / WPF) applications to web and cloud platforms Design and implement secure, scalable and maintainable cloud-native applications Define and uphold coding standards, design principles and development best practices Manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and maintain high code quality Build and maintain testing, staging and integration environments for continuous delivery Collaborate closely with Product, QA, IT and external partners to align technical goals Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement Tech Stack & Skills: Core: C#, .NET Core, SQL Frontend: JavaScript / TypeScript with React, Angular or Vue.js DevOps: Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines Nice to Have: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Microservices, API design The Lead .NET Developer role offers up to £90,000, plus annual bonus and benefits. You’ll work in a hybrid model (2 days a week onsite in Chester), commutable from Liverpool, Wirral, Crewe, Runcorn, Warrington and North Wales.
