Industrial Trainee

The Opportunity Join one of the UK’s key nuclear power stations on a 12-month industrial placement designed for future business and operations leaders. You’ll work within the Performance Improvement team at Heysham 1 , supporting the station’s day-to-day functions and contributing to long-term strategic improvement across the site. This placement blends analytical work, organisational learning, and business operations, giving you a real-world view of how nuclear stations are run and improved. What You’ll Be Doing You'll take on real responsibilities that give you exposure to live projects, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement strategies, including: Performance monitoring and data analysis Supporting organisational learning and event investigations Creating internal communications and improvement campaigns Helping develop and test new training initiatives Contributing to contractor readiness and safety planning Analysing operational data to identify areas for optimisation Where You’ll Be Based You’ll be based at Heysham 1 Power Station , one of the UK's advanced gas-cooled reactor (AGR) stations. You’ll work on-site with experienced professionals across departments, getting real exposure to the operational side of nuclear energy.
