This 12-month Project Planning Industrial Placement offers a rare opportunity to work at the frontline of energy delivery, gaining hands-on experience in outage planning and real-world infrastructure programmes. Work side-by-side with experienced engineers and planners at a UK nuclear power station, contributing to Britain’s mission to reach net zero. The Opportunity This site-based role is located at a nuclear power station in Lancashire , where you’ll work within the Outage Planning team – a critical function responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant during planned maintenance and shutdown periods. You’ll support: Project planning and scheduling for key engineering works Front-end engineering planning Commercial and performance reviews Risk assessments and stakeholder engagement Previous students have worked on high-profile improvement programmes, contributing to progress tracking systems and data-informed decision-making that directly affects plant safety and performance.
