Mechanical Estimator – Permanent Dartford | Up to £70,000 Benefits Reporting to: Estimating Manager A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a reputable and growing contractor in Dartford. This is a key position within the Estimating team, supporting the Estimating Manager in the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality tenders across a range of mechanical and electrical projects. The Role As an Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for: * Reviewing and analysing tender documentation, raising RFI’s where required * Liaising with the supply chain and issuing enquiries * Completing take-offs in line with standard estimating practices * Vetting incoming tender/offers and ensuring the most commercially viable options are included * Preparing tenders for internal adjudication * Presenting costing approaches, programme durations, and project risks during adjudication meetings * Ensuring timely and accurate tender submissions * Supporting handover of successful projects to the operations team What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate: * A strong team mentality and collaborative approach * Excellent communication and organisational skills * High levels of initiative and problem-solving ability Skills & Behaviours We are seeking someone who is: * Commercially astute, with the ability to identify and manage risk * Detail-oriented, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines across multiple projects * Proactive and persuasive, able to advise clients on time- and cost-saving systems and solutions Experience & Qualifications Ideally, you will have: * A relevant apprenticeship or C&G/ONC qualification * Proven experience as an Estimator within an M&E contractor or the M&E division of a main contractor * A demonstrated ability to accurately estimate costs and timescales to meet tender deadlines Apply Today If you’re a driven and detail-focused Mechanical Estimator looking to take the next step in your career with a leading organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
