Crane Surveyor (LOLER 9.2) Bridgewater, Somerset £55 - £60p/h Outside IR35 24month Contract Position for a Crane Surveyor looking for a 24month contract, outside of IR35, working on a major nuclear project in the South West. Based on Hinckley Point C, you will be working 40-50 hours per week undertaking in Thorough Examinations and LOLER 9.2 inspections on overhead cranes, gantries and hoists prior to commissioning. This contract offers £55–£60 per hour and would suit a LEEA or SAFed qualified engineer (desirable) with a strong background in mechanical inspection of cranes. Key Responsibilities Conduct LOLER 9.2 Thorough Examinations and load testing on overhead cranes, gantries, hoists, and runway systems. Prepare and issue detailed first reports of Thorough Examination following installation or modification. Carry out inspections in line with LOLER, PUWER, BS7121, BS2853:2011, and BS ISO 4309:2017. Identify and assess defects, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations. Person Proven background performing LOLER 9.2 Thorough Examinations, including load testing and certification issue (Cranes) In-depth knowledge of LOLER & PUWER regulations and relevant British Standards.
