About the Role A new opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Technician to join the engineering team responsible for surface, shaft and facilities maintenance across a large industrial site. You will carry out statutory inspections, planned maintenance, repairs and installations across a diverse range of heavy equipment, ensuring full legal compliance and maximising machine uptime. The role requires both mechanical and electrical capability, with an electrical bias preferred. You’ll work in a safety-critical, fast-paced environment where problem-solving, rapid response and professional engineering standards are key. About the Person You will be a time-served Multi Skilled Technician with qualifications to a recognised engineering standard. You should thrive in a heavy industrial environment and be comfortable working with large plant, machinery and complex systems. This role suits someone who: Has strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience Enjoys fault-finding and resolving breakdowns quickly Works well under pressure Takes pride in safety, compliance and high engineering standards Is adaptable and able to work across multiple disciplines (welding, rigging, basic instrumentation, etc.) An electrical bias and experience within mining, quarrying or heavy plant environments would be highly advantageous. Key Skills & Experience Essential Time-served Multi Skilled Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification Mechanical and electrical maintenance background Strong fault-finding capability Experience with heavy industrial equipment Ability to work safely and efficiently in a high-demand environment Additional Skills Welding Burning Rigging Basic instrumentation IT literacy Strong communication skills Key Duties Routine maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment availability Breakdown repairs, troubleshooting and restoration of plant machinery Mechanical and electrical installations and modifications Multi-disciplinary support to improve equipment performance Cross-skilled tasks such as burning, welding and rigging Ensuring full compliance with statutory and internal procedures Upholding high standards of safety, housekeeping and continuous improvement
