Job Description

IT Manager Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Support & Maintenance (25% of time) Manage and maintain data center servers, PCs, printers, and LAN/WAN networks across terminals and offices. Ensure uptime and reliability of terminal systems, including TOS, gate automation, CCTV, voice/data communications, and DR/backup sites. Oversee wireless connectivity for yard equipment and operational areas. Operational System Support (20% of time) Provide first- and second-line support for TOS and related operational systems. Ensure seamless integration with gate systems, customs, shipping lines, and trucking platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting cargo, vessel, and gate operations. End User & Operations Support (15% of time) Train and support end-users (clerks, planners, supervisors) on IT systems and applications. Manage user access, permissions, and on-site troubleshooting for hardware and applications. Support business continuity and disaster recovery processes at terminals. Project Management & Implementation (15% of time) Lead and coordinate TOS and IT infrastructure projects in collaboration with HQ and local teams. Ensure timely delivery, documentation, and integration of new systems and business applications. Participate in project meetings, communicate requirements, and manage vendor relationships. Compliance & Security (15% of time) Ensure adherence to corporate IT policies and local regulatory requirements. Manage cybersecurity, CCTV, and access control for all terminal devices and networks. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and incident response plans. Stakeholder & Vendor Management (10% of time) Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, HQ IT, and external technology partners. Coordinate service level reviews and regular meetings with TOS OEMs and IT infrastructure teams. Align IT systems and projects with business needs and regulatory requirements. Minimum Requirements A minimum of five (5) years of proven professional experience is required, ideally within the ports and terminals sector or in a similar operational IT environment. This experience should demonstrate a strong track record in managing complex IT systems, supporting infrastructure, and delivering technology solutions aligned with business needs. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Spanish is also mandatory.
