TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Americus, Georgia, 31719! Pay Information $2,092 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of experience in specialty and 1 travel contract Description: Strict 75-mile radius rule enforced. Candidate must have 2 years of experience in specialty and 1 travel contract. Unit has fast track clinic rooms with a total of 12 beds, including 2 trauma bays. There is 1 seclusion room for patient care. Average patient load is 70 per day. Ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients. EMR system used is Meditech. Charge nurse does not take patients. There is 1 paramedic and typically 1 to 2 nurse externs per shift. Security and patient sitters will be utilized for psych holds and 1-on-1 observation. Every other weekend work is required. Holidays are rotated with permanent staff. Scrub color is hunter green pants with a white top and white jacket. No tele/monitor techs are assigned to the unit. Ventilators are available. There is 1 MD and 2 mid-level providers per shift. Nurses can perform their own lab draws, but lab draws can also be done by lab personnel. An IV team is available to handle midlines and difficult IV placements during weekdays. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy is not in-house 24/7 but will have support during the day and can utilize other resources after hours. Shifts available include 6:45 AM, 6:45 PM, 11 AM, and 3 PM. Floating to other units is not required. Common diagnoses include neonates to geriatrics, covering both minor walk-in cases and trauma cases.
