Responsibilities Work in the MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting Care is provided in the East Tower, including General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular, Wound, and Plastics departments Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week Patient ratio is typically 1 nurse to 4-5 patients Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required No on-call duty is expected Uses Epic for electronic charting Responsibilities include providing care for patients under General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular, Wound, and Plastics specialties Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital are ineligible for travel positions Locals are accepted at the same contract terms All required time off must be provided during contract initiation Urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting is required upon contract signing Requirements Active OH or compact RN license must be in hand at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years RN experience is required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and intermediate level skills is required Epic EMR experience is mandatory Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program At least 2 professional references required; 1 from a manager/director or formal leader, 2nd may be from a charge RN Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-638995.
