•Develop and implement environmental related policies and procedures in accordance with the USAKA Environmental Standards (UES), Titles 40 and 49 of the US Code of Federal Regulations, and Army requirements.
•Assist in managing implementation of contract PWS/CDRLS.
•Assist in managing implementation of applicable DEPS (e.g., Munitions)
•Prepare NEPAs and ensure, as applicable coordination for completion of responsible contractor or subcontractor responsibilities are implemented.
•Prepare notifications and reports for EOD campaigns.
•Assist in managing Eniwetak biological and terrestrial monitoring in accordance with the DEP for the Minuteman III Modification and Fuze Modernization Flight Tests.
•Responsible for oversight of the HMWPP program, trains HMWPP custodians and personnel responsible for facility HMWPP oversight.
•Conduct assessments/inspections of project activities to monitor compliance with environmental requirements including contractual commitments, laws and regulations, and the project's environmental permits, plans and procedures.
•Identify and define Environmental problems, and follows up to ensure action.
•Implements new cost-effective and compliant approaches to solving compliance related issues.
•Provide environmental technical direction/advise and guidance to ESH and/or project personnel and speciality groups as applicable or assigned.
•Evaluate and interpret applicable environmental regulations and contract environmental requirements.
•Plan and develop compliance procedures for projects and facilities and monitors their implementation.
•Develop, update, and ensure required Environmental training courses are provided.
•Maintain, prepare, and disseminate weekly, monthly, and other required reports.
•Coordinate with department managers and supervisors on spills and other environmental incidents and follow up to ensure incidents are evaluated and corrective actions take place.
•May develop and monitor functional budgets as assigned.
•Execute other duties as assigned by the Environmental, Safety and Health Manager.
•Additional duties may include work assignments on outer islands, including but not limited to, Roi-Namur and Meck Island


Required Skills
•Must possess a thorough knowledge of the USAKA Environmental Standards, and Federal environmental regulations including the US Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40 and Title 49.
•Strong communication and public speaking skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Required Experience •Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related science or engineering discipline, or education and experience equavalent
•Bachelor degree and an environmental related certification such as a Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) desired
•Five or more years experence.
•Compliance-related experience, including but not limited to a background in RCRA, CWA, CAA, SDWA, NEPA, DOT, TSCA.
•Industrial Hygiene (IH) experience and the ability to perform and advise on Industrial Hygiene technial matters and mission-centric IH sampling is desired.
•Five or more years of relevant experience and experience providing leadership.
•Experience working on DoD or other government contracts a plus
