Job Description
• Responsible for operating, maintaining, and upgrading the land and sea based missile flight safety systems, including RF, electronics, high power transmitters, antennas and pedestals, software, networks, processing and display computers, telemetry, communications, and facilities.
• Configuring, operating and maintaining satellite communications, radio, navigation, voice, and network systems on a ship.
• Assist with telemetry, transmitters, power, and network systems.
• Perform activities on towers and elevated structures.
• Support customers during operations on the land based and ship-based systems, including contributing to the preparation, planning, and/or mission execution.
• Lead and/or participate in troubleshooting efforts, fault detection, fault isolation, reporting, repair, testing, and documentation.
• Support may include travel to other neighboring islands via helicopter and small plane.
• Contribute to overseeing other tasks related to property, calibration, secure room, COMSEC..
• Additional responsibilities may include supporting RF Safety.

Required Skills
• Strong organization skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of hand tools and test equipment.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge of Radars, RF and antenna theory.
• Experience with link margin analysis.
• Ability to proficiently operate Ham Radio.
• Knowledge of antenna characteristics and calculations, RF link analysis, field strength calculations
• Ability to capture technical requirements and analysis.
• Experience with Missile Flight Safety systems.
• Experience with software programming or SharePoint management.
• Willingness and physical ability to work aboard a ship at-sea for multiple weeks.
• Able to work at heights up to 60 feet; able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Able to sustain prolonged periods of standing, kneeling and or repeated stooping.
• Able to travel by boat, helicopter, or aircraft to work at remote sites with limited facilities. Must have a waist circumference of 42” or less to ride in helicopters.
• Work irregular shifts, weekends, holidays and short notice overtime.
• Establish and maintain effective working relations with employees and the public.
• Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.

Job Requirements

Required Experience
• Associates degree in electronics is desired, or a two year technical school, or equivalent military experience
• Minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma or equivalency
• Three or more years of experience with field maintenance, tracking system maintenance, electronics, communications systems, and flight systems required
• Computer networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security + is desired
• Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends to support specific project requirements
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
• Valid U.S. Passport required
• This position is a remote overseas assignment on the Reagan Test Site (RTS) on United States Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA), in support of daily, space operations and launch support.
