This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll
Maintain, repair and improve UHF and VHF Transmitters as required to meet mission requirements.
Direct activities of Field Engineers and Technicians with frequent “hands on’ troubleshooting.
Respond to downtime events of the transmitter.
Work with all engineering disciplines and management to meet mission requirements.
Familiarity with RF transmission and high power electronics, switchgear, analog and digital control hardware and RFI shielding practices.
Strong understanding of electrical principles and design.
Strong circuit troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated working ability to complete electrical designs.
Familiarity with floating ground systems.
General knowledge of Analog/RF components such as amplifiers, couplers, hybrids and phase shifters.
General software literacy. Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated diagnostic skills including but not limited to ability to effectively use an oscilloscope, a digital voltmeter, an RF power meter and a spectrum analyzer.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Masters Degree in Engineering or related discipline is a plus.
8 or more years of related experience working on High Voltage equipment.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization, desired
This position is a remote overseas assignment on the Reagan Test Site (RTS) on United States Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA), in support of daily, space operations and launch support
This position is accompanied, with a preference for the employee to live on Roi-Namur
Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
Valid U.S. Passport required
Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends to support specific project requirements.
